Our Level 2 Accredited Assistant Life Mechanic Training has been designed to support individuals, community groups and organisations to make best use of our free to access Life Garage resources. The course will provide participants with familiarisation with the content and its intention. It will also cover the skills and tools participants need to engage others with the materials in an effective and ethical manner.

Our training comprises four self-guided study modules, all with questions to develop the participants knowledge and skills which cover:

Module 1: Life garage concept and content

• Session 1 - Introducing the Assistant Life Mechanic concept
• Session 2 - Who’s the mechanic?

Module 2: Coaching foundation

• Session 1 - The ACE coaching model
• Session 2 - Change supporting communication
  

Module 3: Using the materials

• Session 1 - Engaging individuals with The Life Garage
• Session 2 - Facilitating Life Garage peer support groups
  

Module 4: Keeping yourself and others safe

• Session 1 - Self-care
• Session 2 - Personal disclosure

Price and enrolment requirements

We want to make enrollment on the Level 2 Accredited Assistant Life Mechanic Training accessible for everyone so we offer three options for completion and certification:

1. Accredited option - £59 - The option of choice if you are planning to use the Life Garage professionally with others. This option is assessed and comes with Level 2 accreditation from iTOL. It includes a Metanoeo issued certificate and digital badge from our accreditor.
2. Approved option - £29 - We have developed this option for people who want  to complete the training as part of their continued professional development (CPD). This assessed option includes a Metanoeo approved twelve-hour CPD certificate.
3. Accessible option - Free - This non-assessed option has been designed to support personal development and accessibility and comes with a Metanoeo issued digital recognition badge.

There is no need to choose your option before you have completed the course - you can decide upon completion of your studies. Assessment is by way of a multiple choice examination.

There are no pre-course requirements to enrol on this course other than a willingness to learn and use The Life Garage materials with others in an ethical and effective manner.
