This  first two-core modules for our award, will provide you with the opportunity to develop an introductory understanding of the principles and practices of life coaching. During the first module you will explore the communication principles and structures essential to becoming a successful life coach. The second module will guide you through the fundamentals of life coaching as a discipline specifically exploring the GROW model and working out some of the practicalities.

After completing the first two modules you will be ready to start applying the principles to undertaking some simple life coaching with your peers and others who require a basic level of coaching.

The third and fourth core modules for our coaching award, build on the fundamental principles and practices of life coaching explored in in the first two modules to provide you with an opportunity to develop your skills and practice as a life coach. During module three you will explore some of the fundamental principles of understanding and utilising common concepts you will encounter relating to human and social capital in practice. The fourth module will introduce you to six further coaching models / tools and guide you through a process of personalising these and developing your own coaching style and ethos.

On successful completion of all four modules you will be ready to start professionally life coaching others.

Module 4: Developing a Personal Coaching Style

• Coaching  Models 1 (CLEAR, solution focused and transformational coaching)
• Engaging your own journey
• Coaching Models 2 (the inner game model, NLP and ontological coaching)
• Creating a Personal Synthesis
