This follow-on course for graduates of our Level 5 Accredited Award in Community-Based Life Coaching has been developed to help you hone your skills as a life coach and focus on getting your practice established. This unit will provide you with the opportunity to explore some of the resources and options which are available to you in setting up your own life coaching practice.

Throughout Module 1: Getting Started in Practice we will examine some of the tools and resources useful for developing your own private coaching practice. Whilst not intended to provide you with business advice, this module will help you to increase your awareness of some of the business basics and resources available to you as you establish your own practice.

The following two modules will help equip you to further build the depth of your life coaching skills and tools as you work with people. During Module 2: Further Coaching Models you will be introduced to a variety of models to coaching which will compliment those you have already explored. In Module 3: Working with Individuals we will explore ideas around motivation and change when working with people.

The final module, Module 4: Working with Communities, will consider some of the challenges you are likely to find when working with people who are on the margins of society.

• Motivational interviewing

Module 4: Working with Communities

• Life on the margins
• Principles for working in communities
• Working with addiction
• Co-creating habit change
